3 Laws of Life
Law of Expectation
New Living Translation (©2007)
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
So whose report will you believe? Their predictions on Wall Street? The economists’? The government’s? Or God’s? God said He has a plan for us, and it’s a good one that is hopeful and bright. We can be optimistic in a time of uncertainty because God’s word is a guarantee. His promises are not empty. The people of God have a wonderful future ahead of them. There is no need to worry or fear. God—our Father, takes care of His very own.
Law of Focus

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! (Isaiah 26:3)
Are you depressed? Are you anxious? Are you confused? Where are your thoughts? Your focus must be on God’s words. First, you have to put it there: read it, meditate on it, memorize it. Think how different a life can be when the same amount of attention that is given to our concerns is directed on God’s words. Yes, what a peace-filled life it would be! God’s words shelter us; they protect us. We can hide in them. They are soothing and refreshing. Never let them depart from your mind; not even for one second.
Law of Giving
New Living Translation (©2007)
Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.(Proverbs 11:24)
Raise your hand if you want to lose all that you own or if you want to be poor. The truth is almost everyone wants to live a life that is comfortable enough on their terms since “comfort’ is relative. But like many concepts in God’s kingdom, the law of gaining is backwards. We are encouraged to give. Because it is in giving, we receive more. On the contrary, when we are “stingy”, we actually lose. Freely give; freely receive.
