Reconnecting Body, Mind and Spirit to God

BODY Body I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (Psalm 139:14).
MIND Mind Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2).
SPIRIT Spirit Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19).

  • Shalom: The Meaning of Health and Wellness
Shalom: The Meaning of Health and Wellness Shalom, such a simple word, yet encompassing such a profound meaning.  Most English versions translate it as “peace”; unfortunately, that word does not convey its fullness. In the Hebrew, the noun שלומ (shalom) comes from the verb שלמ (Sh.L.M). The verb shalam means to "restore" in the sense of replacing or providing what is needed in order to make someone or something whole and complete. The noun שלומ (shalom) is one who has, or has been provided, what is needed to be whole and complete. AHLB# 2845 (c) / Strong's# 7965

My Story

  • I See Dead People
    Written by
“I see dead people,” and I’m not merely quoting the line from the movie Sixth Sense. I’m talking about seeing living people who are walking around like zombies. I first noticed this zombification when I started teaching high school. Granted, the fact that I was the dreaded twelfth grade teacher from hell who taught British Literature to these poor souls in their last year could possibly explain the deer-in-the-headlights look and empty orb-like eyes that stared back at me. But I realized there was more to this appearance when I saw the same look in adults.
